A Season of Service, Safety, and Michigan Pride: Thank You from DPSS

With the final Michigan Stadium event of 2025 behind us, the Division of Public Safety and Security (DPSS) extends our heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated professionals who helped make 2025 a milestone year for the University of Michigan community.

Together, we successfully supported six home football games in the Big House - each one bringing more than 100,000 fans to campus and showcasing the energy, tradition, and pride that define the Leaders and Best. In a truly historic moment, Michigan Stadium hosted its first-ever concert, and setting the U.S. record for the largest ticketed concert audience.

Events at the Big House are unforgettable and, notably, require the dedication of countless DPSS staff and community partners to run smoothly. Behind every event at the Big House are hundreds of public safety professionals - police officers, security officers, dispatchers, emergency managers, support staff, medical first responders, leadership, and so many more - who give their weekend days to serve the community, and work tirelessly with professionalism, dedication, and pride.

To every DPSS staff member, and to our valued partners across the university and region: thank you. Thank you for your professionalism, your resilience, and your commitment to serving with excellence.

Your work is what allows Wolverines to learn, work, discover, cheer, perform, and come together. You do this every day, but it’s events like the ones at Michigan Stadium where this commitment really shines.

Thank you for helping keep the Leaders and Best safe.

Thank you for being a critical part of the Michigan community.

And thank you for another exceptional season.

Go Blue!
